The 10th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting features 70 scientific sessions, more than 1,850 posters, and leading experts advancing multiple sclerosis research and care.

TORONTO, CANADA, October 21, 2026 – MSToronto2026, the 10th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting, opens today at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, bringing together over 7,000 registered participants from 102 countries to share the latest scientific discoveries, clinical advances and emerging approaches to multiple sclerosis (MS) and related disorders.

Jointly organized by the Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ACTRIMS) and the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS), MSToronto2026 is the largest international gathering of 2026 dedicated to research and clinical care of MS and related disorders. Guided by the theme “Unifying Multiple Sclerosis,” the meeting reflects the growing understanding of MS as one disease affecting people across races and geographies, while bringing the global scientific community together to advance research and treatment.

This year’s scientific program features:
• 70 scientific sessions exploring advances in MS research, diagnosis, treatment and patient care.
• More than 1,850 scientific posters presented onsite and virtually, showcasing research from around the world.
• Approximately 250 faculty members sharing their expertise and the latest developments in MS and related disorders.

“MSToronto2026 reflects both the progress we’re making in understanding MS and the importance of working together across disciplines and borders,” said Daniel Ontaneda, Scientific Program Committee Chair. “The meeting provides an opportunity to share new discoveries and exchange perspectives that will help move MS research forward.”

“Bringing together researchers and clinicians from around the world creates important opportunities for collaboration,” said Olga Ciccarelli, Scientific Program Committee Vice Chair. “These connections are essential to translating scientific advances into better care and outcomes for people living with MS.”

The program includes plenary lectures, oral research presentations, invited presentations, poster sessions, and scientific discussions. A dedicated Late Breaking Scientific Session on Friday, October 23, will highlight newly available research findings, including emerging therapeutic approaches and clinical trial results.

MSToronto2026 kicked off with a dedicated Pre-Day on October 20, highlighting specialized topics in MS and related autoimmune neurological conditions, and will feature a Patient Community Day on October 23, offering additional opportunities for education, engagement, and connection across the MS community. The meeting continues through Friday, October 23, 2026. For more information and the full scientific program, visit MSToronto2026.org.
