ECTRIMS 2025 - Abstracts - Key Info

About

Authors interested in submitting an abstract for ECTRIMS 2025 may choose from a range of research topics related to multiple sclerosis and related neurological disorders, which are categorised into four primary areas: Clinical Aspects of MS, Pathology and Pathogenesis of MS, Imaging and Non-Imaging Biomarkers, and Therapy, as well as a special RIMS category.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the online supplement of the Multiple Sclerosis Journal and on our website, mobile app and platform.

Deadline for submission of abstracts: Thursday, 10 April 2025 (23:59 CEST)
Deadline for submission for late breaking abstracts: Thursday, 29 May 2025 (23:59 CEST)

The full text of regular abstracts will be published 14 days before the congress (Wednesday, 10 September 2025, at 08:00 CEST) on the congress website. Late Breaking Abstracts will be published on the first day of the congress (Wednesday, 24 September 2025, at 08:00 CEST). Media representatives are asked to consult our embargo policy.

Abstracts may be featured as:

Oral Presentation

Select abstracts are accepted for oral presentation based on their scientific merits and their relation to the topics addressed in the scientific programme and will be held in parallel sessions at the congress.

Poster Presentation

Authors of selected posters are provided a display area onsite at our congress, where they may highlight the key details of their abstract in a poster presentation (these are also on show during our Poster Sessions).

ePoster Only

All posters will also be featured as an ePoster, offering an ideal digital platform for you to share your latest work and insight with colleagues from around the world.

Awards

This year we are offering prizes in the following categories:

Best Young Investigator Oral Presentations:

Two prizes of €1500 each will be awarded to the two best oral presentations given by young investigators age 35 or younger (born on or after 1 January 1990) and for interrupted study time due to maternity/caring parents or other justified time off the clock, Prizes will be awarded during the Closing Session on Friday, 26 September 2025.

Best Posters:

Prizes of €1000 each will be awarded to the five best poster presentations.

Additional Prizes:

Additional prizes will be awarded by the MS International Federation during the Closing Session on Friday, 26 September 2025.

Travel & Abstract Grants

We have a limited number of travel and abstract grants available for young scientists aged 35 or under (born on or after 1 January 1990) and those with study interruptions due to maternity, caregiving, or justified time off. These grants are for individuals with accepted abstracts for oral or poster presentations. You can find more information HERE.
