ECTRIMS Pre-Day focused on three key domains: Paediatric MS; Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody Disorder (MOGAD); and Autoimmune Encephalitis and Immunotherapy Complications.

Mechanisms and models of autoimmune encephalitis. This session explored the unique properties of IgG4 and its role in health and disease and how to model autoimmune encephalitis.

Triggers: infections and genetics. This session examined the HSV encephalitis and NMDAR and the role of EBV and other infection in paediatric demyelinating disorders. Furthermore, the experts discussed the insights gained from genetics into the pathogenesis and treatment of AQP4-NMOSD and the genetic mimickers of neuroimmunological disorders.
