Course Descriptors Meeting 2025

The key takeaways:
- An update to the course descriptors is needed.
- Understanding of MS has grown, and so too has the need to refine the way we describe the disease.
- A new framework must be biologically based.
- Engagement opportunities will be developed to integrate the feedback of global and diverse interest holders.
- The International Advisory Committee on Clinical Trials in MS and its sponsors, the National MS Society and ECTRIMS, will continue to steward this work forward, driving the community towards a new framework and nomenclature built through consensus.

Ageing and MS Workshop
24-27 April 2024 I Philadelphia, USA
Workshop goals:
- Review current perspectives on aging as it relates to MS clinical research and patient care.
- Drive toward a deeper understanding of the underlying science related to aging in MS by bringing together key stakeholders and thought leaders in the field.
- Debate considerations for clinical trial design and conduct related to aging in MS.
- Consider treatment strategies and clinical management of MS in older patients.
- Report on and disseminate key outcomes from the presentations and discussions at the workshop.
