2024 Fellowship Programmes

The ECTRIMS Fellowship application period for the 2024 cycle is NOW OPEN.

Discover how our three fellowship programmes – Research, Clinical Training, and Nurse and Allied Health Professional Training – can help advance your knowledge and expertise in the field of multiple sclerosis.

Each fellowship provides an annual stipend of up to €55,000. Please select a fellowship below to learn more about the programme offerings and application details.

Our Fellowship Programmes

ECTRIMS Research

This programme for young neuroscientists aims to help facilitate their conduct of and training in basic, clinical or applied research related to multiple sclerosis.

ECTRIMS Clinical Training

This programme offers neurologists and other physicians the opportunity to learn the latest techniques in patient management and care, and to help foster their careers as MS physicians.

ECTRIMS Nurse and Allied Health Professional Training

This programme provides nurses & allied health professionals an opportunity to obtain or expand their expertise in MS care & research through practical experience & training in a mentored MS environment in Europe.

ECTRIMS-MAGNIMS Fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging in MS

This joint programme with the European MAGNIMS network (Magnetic Resonance Imaging in MS) aims to foster the development of young European researchers in the application of magnetic resonance studies to MS.

MSIF-ECTRIMS McDonald Fellowship

This joint programme with the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) enables young MS researchers from low- and middle-income countries to work in a research institution outside of their own country.
