Introduction

The joint fellowship between ECTRIMS and the European Magnetic Resonance Imaging in MS network (MAGNIMS) aims to foster the development of young researchers in the field of MS by supporting their work on scientific projects at host institutions within the MAGNIMS network in Europe.

ECTRIMS supports two MAGNIMS fellowships annually, each with duration of 1 year. Work produced as a result of or in connection with the ECTRIMS-MAGNIMS Research Fellowship is reported at ECTRIMS’ annual congress and presented at MAGNIMS meetings.

The submission period has now ended as of 1 December 2024.
All applicants will be informed of the decision by April 2025.

Programme description

ECTRIMS-MAGNIMS Fellowship Programme

Key Information

For scientists and physicians of any nationality holding an MD, PhD, ScD, or equivalent, to provide mentored research training related to MS

1-year funded fellowships at a host institution within the MAGNIMS network in Europe

Citizens of any country are eligible to apply to this programme

Research training must be undertaken at a host institute that is different than the applicant’s current place of work

Research must be related to magnetic resonance imaging in MS

The application requires documents from the candidate, the proposed mentor, and the proposed host training institute, as well as other professional referees

Successful fellows and their mentors will be asked to provide progress and financial accounting reports at the end of each year

Application period: 15 July through 1 December 2024

NOTE: It is recommended that institutes limit their support to one applicant per fellowship category
