Over the last several decades, the field of MS research has expanded considerably. To reflect this expansion, ECTRIMS is proud to introduce at this year’s congress our new Pre-Day, a day dedicated to specialised topics including paediatric MS, NMOSD and MOGAD, and autoimmune encephalitis and immunotherapy complications.
ECTRIMS Pre-Day – to be held 17 September (one day before our three-day congress begins) – aims to provide the knowledge-sharing support each specialised group deserves. Tickets for Pre-Day must be purchased in addition to congress registration, with discounts offered for booking both events simultaneously.
ECTRIMS 2024 – to be held 18-20 September in Copenhagen, Denmark – is officially open for registration and hotel bookings. ECTRIMS is excited to bring together the very best of international MS experts for a three-day programme of ground-breaking research into the pathogenesis, treatment and care in MS.

Join us for our upcoming webinar on Ageing and MS: Underlying Science and Considerations for Clinical Research and Care, to be held 30 April at 16:00–17:00 CEST.
The webinar – held in collaboration with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society – will discuss the outcomes of a recent international workshop on Ageing in MS organised by the International Advisory Committee on Clinical Trials in MS. The workshop aimed to improve understanding of the underlying science of ageing in MS by gathering key stakeholders and thought leaders to review current perspectives and identify gaps in clinical research and patient care related to ageing.
Also on the horizon is our 6 May webinar on “Cutting-edge discussions on MS therapies: high efficacy DMTs and more”. In this webinar, an expert panel will discuss the latest advancements in MS therapies, exploring cutting-edge discussions surrounding high efficacy DMTs and beyond. The 2nd ECTRIMS Winter School – held 17–19 January in Innsbruck, Austria – provided a comprehensive understanding of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood biomarkers for MS differential diagnosis, for monitoring disease activity as well as progression, and for predicting treatment response.
Participants gained insights from renowned experts in the field of MS research and biomarkers to broaden their understanding of biomarker discovery, validation, and clinical applications in MS.
