At ECTRIMS, education is at the heart of our mission. We offer a range of programmes designed to promote knowledge sharing and advance scientific understanding in the field of multiple sclerosis and related disciplines. Our educational initiatives include three flagship programmes—the annual Summer School, Winter School, and Focused Workshop—alongside Regional Teaching Courses held in various parts of the world.
ECTRIMS Summer Schools are held in Europe and are designed to facilitate discussion and interaction on scientific and clinical topics of interest and importance in the field of MS. The programme accepts a limited number of participants via a competitive application process. The outcomes from each programme are typically published in an internationally recognised journal.
The ECTRIMS Winter School is aimed at supporting timely international scientific/clinical meetings on topics of interest and importance in multiple sclerosis. Programmes are limited in the number of participants and are held in European locations designed to facilitate discussion and interaction. Outcomes from the programme are often published in an internationally recognised journal.
ECTRIMS’ annual focused workshops bring together global experts in neurology to discuss relevant and timely topics of interest in MS clinical research and treatment. Participation is by invitation only. The outcomes from these programmes are often published in an internationally recognised journal.
ECTRIMS has initiated an annual programme of regional teaching courses to organise scientific meetings on topics of interest and importance in MS. The object of such a regional teaching course is to provide access for large groups of neurologists in edge areas of Europe and other (neighbouring) parts of the world to high-quality MS teaching. Participation is limited.
